गोपनीयता नीति
Last updated: 2026-10-04
This Privacy Policy explains how Nepal Garbage Cleaner Employee Union ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and mobile application (the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account & profile information — your name, email address, phone number, and any profile details you provide.
- Membership information — membership type, application and renewal records, member identification, and uploaded documents.
- Payment records and proof — association-dues invoices, payment status, payment reference/date/amount claims, and the receipt or slip you submit. We do not store full card details.
- Health and safety reports — if you choose to submit an adverse drug reaction (ADR) report, the report may include health information, medicine and reaction details, age/sex/weight, medical history, and supporting attachments. Do not submit more identifying or medical information than the report requires.
- Chats and support — messages, attachments, reports of objectionable content, blocks, and support-ticket communications.
- Business / directory information — listings, contact details, media, and location information you choose to publish or use to find nearby services.
- Device & technical data — device identifiers, push-notification tokens, app version, language, and basic usage/security information needed to operate the Services.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and administer membership services; process applications, renewals, association dues, and payment review; receive and manage ADR reports; display directory listings you publish; provide chat and support; send notices, reminders, and push notifications; prevent abuse and fraud; operate and improve the app; and meet legal, accounting, reporting, and regulatory obligations.
3. Sensitive health information and medical limits
ADR reporting is a safety-reporting feature, not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care. We use submitted health information only to receive, review, follow up on, and report suspected reactions as applicable. If you have an emergency or need medical advice, contact a qualified health professional or local emergency service. We do not use ADR information to make automated treatment decisions.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with: service providers that help operate hosting, storage, push notifications, email/SMS, and payment processing; payment providers when you choose an online payment method; public directory information that you choose to make visible; authorized staff who review membership, payment, safety, support, or abuse reports; and authorities where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
5. Data retention
We keep account and membership information while your account or membership is active, and retain records only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above. We may retain payment, accounting, ADR safety, fraud-prevention, security, and legal-compliance records after account deletion where required or permitted by applicable law. We delete or anonymize other information through our approved account-removal process where practicable.
6. Your rights and choices
You can access and update most of your information from within the app. You may request correction, account deletion, or removal of public data. An in-app deletion request is authenticated and then reviewed so we can protect required records and prevent misuse; public directory data is hidden promptly, while approved account anonymization is completed by an authorized administrator. We provide self-service account and data deletion (see our website) or via the in-app settings, and we action verified requests in line with applicable law.
7. Security and chat safety
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls for private files and moderation controls for chat. Chat content may be filtered, reported, removed, or access restricted when it violates our rules. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, and disclosure.
8. Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us so we can remove it.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, in-app notice.
